Do you know an exceptional volunteer in the Canadian arts community? Nominate them for the $5,000 Leslie Yeo Award!
AFBS has over 17,000 Members, each with his or her unique story. Among those 17,000 stories is one of an individual whose acts of kindness and generosity of spirit rise above all the rest; a Member whose story serves as an inspiration not only to AFBS but also to Canada’s entire creative community.
2016 Call for Nominations
The Board of Governors of AFBS is calling for nominations for the 2016 Leslie Yeo Award for Volunteerism. It is an opportunity for you to ensure that an individual you know is acknowledged for their contributions to their community. Your nomination must be received by Monday, February 1, 5:00 p.m. EST.
The Leslie Yeo Award consists of a $5,000.00 cash award to the recipient whose story of volunteerism should be recognized. Leslie’s career in theatre, television and film spanned nearly six decades. In addition to his love of the performing arts, Leslie had a profound respect for people and their capacity to give back, which led him to become a founding father of AFBS.
To be eligible to receive this award, the individual must first be nominated and he or she must be either a current or past Member of Actra Fraternal Benefit Society. Most importantly, the Member must have made an exceptional, non-financial, voluntary contribution of time or talent to the Canadian artistic community.
